We are really please to have just managed to install an 8.8kW solar system on the north facing slope of our roof. You can see it in the great drone pictures below.
You wouldnt necessarily think so but a dental practice uses a lot of power! We run an autoclave sterilizer, dental chair, suction motors, air compressor, air-conditioning, lights and computers. It all adds up and we had been worried for some time about our environmental impact. We knew we had a large north facing roof space available but were told by multiple installers that due to the age of the roof, the tile construction and expecially the 37 degree pitch of the roof that it would be a very difficult roof to install on. Eventually we found the experts at Solar Tactics who were willing and skilled enough to take on such a difficult installation.
We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, we expect these panels to offset about 70% of our energy usage and will be looking into where efficiencies can be gained to reduce our impact further.
